What are the two opposing views on recycling?
For my fifth thesis assignment, I wrote a poem addressing the two views on recycling. In one stanza, I speak from the view for recycling. In my second stanza, I write from the view of someone against recycling.
Recycling: A do or a don’t?

Recycle, reuse, reduce.
Do not litter, stop the abuse.
Everyone can help the Earth if they choose.
Do not throw that away! It can be reused.
By collecting the paper and the cans,
We can reduce the trash in our lands.
Every year, ocean animals plunge to plastic.
Put your trash in bins, the changes are drastic!
Earth’s Garbage Crisis is a problem foreseen,
But if we recycle we can keep our Earth clean.
Recycling is a waste of time.
Why try to reduce when there is already grime?
Recycling would just add to this mess,
Tons of programs that cause more and more stress.
To spend millions of dollars and hope for an answer,
All of this wasted money could be spent on cancer!
Sometimes recycling just causes more trash,
It adds to our trash and uses our cash.
Adding more programs would just add more pollution,
This is certainly a path with no positive solution.
